Who we are

The service
Seqento helps you create short videos: it suggests ideas and scripts, guides your recording and edits your footage. The app is in active development and pre-release (beta) versions may change, be interrupted or contain errors.
Your account
An account is created on your device when you first use the app. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your device secure.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you record, write and upload. You give us the right to store and process it only as far as needed to provide the service to you, including sending it to the providers described in our privacy policy.
You are responsible for your content. Only film and upload what you are allowed to, including music, brands and people who appear in your video, and do not upload anything unlawful or harmful.
Photos and videos you upload, and usage rights
This section applies to all photos and videos you add to Seqento from your own photo library or files, for example as b-roll in a video or in your b-roll library ("uploaded content").
Warranty. By uploading content you represent and warrant that you own it, or that you have permission (a licence) from every rights holder to use it in the way you use it through Seqento, including having it edited into videos and publishing those videos. This covers copyright and related rights, trademark rights, and the image and privacy rights of people who can be recognised in it.
Licence to Seqento. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, technically adapt (such as cropping, scaling and converting) and process your uploaded content into the videos we edit for you, only as far as needed to provide the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for videos that have already been made for you. If you choose to share content in the shared b-roll library, you also grant us and other Seqento users the right to use that content in their videos; sharing cannot be undone.
Responsibility. Seqento does not check uploaded content for third-party rights in advance and is not responsible or liable for photos and videos that users upload themselves without holding the necessary usage rights. The confirmation you give in the app before adding your own photo or video is a reminder of this obligation and does not replace these terms.
Indemnity. You indemnify us against claims from third parties alleging that content you uploaded infringes their rights, and you will compensate the damage and reasonable costs (including legal fees) we incur as a result. For consumers this applies to the extent the law allows.
Removal. We may remove or disable access to uploaded content, and videos that contain it, without prior notice if we receive a report or reasonably suspect that the content infringes the rights of others or breaches these terms, and we may suspend or end your account in case of repeated infringement. If you believe content in Seqento infringes your rights, email hello@seqento.com with a description of the content and of your right.
Automatically generated suggestions
Ideas, hooks, scripts and descriptions are generated automatically by software and can be wrong or unsuitable. You decide what you say and publish. Check facts and claims, especially about health, money, legal or regulated topics, before you post.
Plans and limits
Seqento has a free plan and paid subscriptions (Starter, Pro and Studio) with a monthly number of ideas, scripts, edits and revisions. You can pay monthly or yearly. Current prices and limits are shown in the app.
In-app subscriptions are bought through the App Store or Google Play and charged to your Apple ID or Google account. They renew automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel them in the subscription settings of your App Store or Google Play account, and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
With a free trial you are only charged when it ends, unless you cancel before then. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. We may change plans, prices and limits; a price change only applies from your next period and the store asks for your consent where required.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse engineer it, no access to other people's data and no use to harass, deceive or infringe the rights of others. We may suspend accounts that do.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Seqento available but provide it "as is", without guarantees. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or lost profit, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app under Profile. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Dutch law applies, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.
